5 Juicy Colorado Beers for Grilling Out

One of the best parts of BBQing (after eating, of course) is having an excuse to sip on a great beer with your buddies! And today, we’ve rounded up a list of our five favorite brews that pair amazingly with deliciously charred meats & good conversation.

1. Dales Pale Ale – Oskar Blues

If you like crispy beer, this is the crispest of the crispiest. It takes the edge off the sunburn, that’s for sure.

Here’s the description from the website:

Dale’s Pale Ale is our proud, voluminously hopped mutha of a pale ale. If you want a fistful of flavor, look no further than this hopped-up trail ride.

2. Colorado Kolsch – Steamworks

Kolsch-and-Steak

If you’re looking for an easy-to-drink patio slammer, this is the beer for you. This one’ll quench your thirst after devouring that juicy brat.

Here’s the description from the website:

Colorado Kolsch has earned three silver medals at the Great American Beer Festival and another silver medal at the Word Beer Cup. It is a light and crisp derivative of German-style Kolsch bier with a hint of sweetness. This quenching ale is a perfect outdoor companion!

3. Go Play IPA – Avery

This IPA was meant to be drunk outside. It’s tart & fruity flavors pair perfectly with sunshine & a game of cornhole.

Here’s the description from the website:

Go Play IPA sports juicy, tropical, and dank aromas, fueled by dry-hop additions of Vic Secret, Idaho 7, and Simcoe hops. Better yet, sodium and potassium help activate this motivated, lively India Pale Ale.

4. Colette Farmhouse Ale – Great Divide

This farmhouse ale tastes like the sun as it’s going down. Grab one while you’re snacking on cheese & veggie platters at a sunset patio party.

Here’s the description from the website:

COLETTE is our homage to the saisons that Belgian farm workers have enjoyed for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, COLETTE is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats — a beer as refreshing as it is complex.

5. Princess Yum Yum – Denver Beer Co

This is the PRINCESS of fruity beers. If you’re into raspberry lemonade, you’ll love this fizzy adult version in beer form.

Here’s the description from the website:

We take a traditional Kolsch and ferment it with real raspberries. The result is a ruby red fruity summer ale that finishes tart and dry, perfectly thirst quenching on a hot day.
