June GINvitational 2019: 5 Free Gin Tastings

Let’s be GIN! Our first June Ginvitational is here! This week we’re hosting 5 FREE GIN TASTINGS for your inebrious pleasure!

I’ll be telling you a little about all the different gins we’re tasting this week (including the dates & times!) below, but first, here’s a little info about GIN itself.

Gin Facts

Gin is what many consider to be “the other clear liquor” after it’s cousin, Vodka. These two liquors are essentially prepared the same way, though they boast very different flavors. Gin is distilled a second time with various botanicals (popularly juniper) to give it a unique & piney profile, whereas vodka is classically flavorless.

Historically from Holland, gin is currently produced primarily in the U.K. but can be produced anywhere; only 13 gins have “geographical indications.” (In fact, one of our featured Ginvitational tasting gins hails from Japan!)

You can drink gin straight, on the rocks, mixed with tonic or another delicious medley or shaken into a martini!
